Would you rather have the love of your life, or the life you love?

I am standing at the crossroads of the rest of my life. I just moved in with my girlfriend of three years and we have talked about marriage. This is the first real serious relationship I have been in. I want to get into the music buisness i.e. become a guitar tech, or luthier, hopefully do some studio work, or become a recording enigineer. I have 9 years of guitar and paino experience, and 2 years of recording experience. I am 18, and can either begin college this fall, or I can begin recording school in Nashville and begin working to achieve my dreams. A friend of my dads is a studio musician in Nashville and can help me to slip into that field. I have wanted a career in music since I can remember, its what makes me happy. A "normal" 9-5 job would kill me as I'm very free sprited. My girlfriend told me that if I want to be with her, I cant move to Nashville (700 miles away) and do what I want, and I need to choose her, or following my dreams. advice?
