What have people tried to induce labor and actually worked?

PLEASE..IF YOU ARE GOING TO INFORM ME THE DANGERS OF INDUCING BEFORE BABY IS "READY.." SPARE ME. I KNOW ALL ABOUT THIS..PLEASE DO NOT ANSWER THEN..THANKS! the reason i ask this is because i have pre hypertension and my doc wants to induce me within two weeks..i am only 1 cm dilated and i have went through induction with my first child for the same reason and i do not want to go through a medical induction again. i have been walking as much as i can and having plenty of ..i just want to know what people HAVE ALREADY DONE AND WORKED..again, please ignore this if you are only going to warn me about doing things as i have heard it all and there are also major risks about medically inducing. thanks!!
