Kodak M753 vs. Sony Cybershot DSCW55P?

I'm currently debating between these two cameras. I want to replace my old, no-optical-zoom camera. Also, if anyone has other camera options, I'm open to suggestions. The only brands I'm not interested in are Fuji brands (too cheap and flimsy) and Polaroid brands (had bad luck with that brand in the past). I want a good camera with as much optical zoom as possible and as little lag time between pictures as possible for $200 or less (it's birthday money). I'd prefer a camera that takes a SD memory card since that's what my current camera uses. But if the camera is worth it, I'm willing to get a different type of card. Thanks for your help. :)
