Why do so many people find "price" such a deciding factor on getting a tattoo.....?
OK..I want a few confessions. Why is it that people go to a tattoo shop all "blinged-out" , showing how much loot they blow on frivoulous, temporary status symbols... then get cheap on an artist?? It seems so many people feel that a half sleeve for life is barely worth the cost of an average pair of high-top tennis shoes. Our shop has a very good local reputation, our prices are consistently lower than our local competition and we usually get comments indicating that we have far exceeded expectations.... Since everyone has an uncle who tattooed ten years ago, half a continent away.. or has a buddy who went to high school with them who does tattoos... why dont these people realize that we are thinking...."So why are you HERE, then?" Seems 9 out of 10 people who walk into a tattoo shop is a tattoo expert, yet have NO clue that their financial tattoo savoir faire is totally ticking off the person they are trying to get a "great deal" from. What are these people thinking .... Or do they?
