Why are the Jews being persecuted in London?

I dont doubt that this is happening nor do i support racial violence. But perhaps this is because many jews around the world support Israel so the two become linked in some extremist minds. Terrorism is abhorrent whether from Jews, left wing or Muslim people. But bullying and the relentless destruction on Gaza and deaths of women and children civilians make supporting Hamas a more empathetic experience.
